Horn Nature Conservation places communities at the center of environmental protection and sustainable development. In Somalia, climate change, environmental degradation, and poverty are deeply interconnected, and long-term conservation outcomes depend on empowered, informed, and healthy communities.
We strengthen community empowerment through awareness raising, capacity building, and inclusive participation in environmental decision-making. Our approach promotes local leadership, community ownership, and meaningful engagement of women and youth in conservation, climate adaptation, and sustainable livelihood initiatives.
Recognizing that education and health are critical enablers of environmental resilience, we also support environmental learning for young people and primary health care awareness in climate- and poverty-affected communities.
